Homey Pro features a Setup Mode that lets you change the Wi-Fi network, reset Homey Pro to its factory settings, or restore a cloud backup.
While Homey Pro is in Setup Mode, all other tasks are disabled. Flows won’t start, and devices cannot be controlled.
1. Activating Setup Mode
Place and hold a long pin inside the bottom of Homey Pro’s pinhole for 8 seconds. When Homey Pro’s LED Ring starts breathing blue, Setup Mode has been activated.
2. Open the Homey app
Tap your Avatar in the upper-right corner while on Home, then tap My Homeys →Add New Homey → Homey Pro.
3. Using Setup Mode
Your existing Homey Pro will be found automatically — no data will be lost. You’ll now choose which Wi-Fi network it should connect to. After entering your Wi-Fi password, you’ll also have the option to reset Homey Pro to factory defaults if needed.
4. Exiting Setup Mode
To exit Setup Mode, you can complete the instructions and tap Finish Setup or remove Homey Pro’s power for a few seconds.
