With Homey Dashboards, you can create personalized dashboards with widgets, giving you timely information and helpful control at a glance.
You can even create multiple dashboards for different use cases, such as First Floor, Home Security, or Game Room. Here’s how it works.
Tablets
1. Navigate to Dashboards
Open the Homey app and tap Dashboards
in the tab bar. Then, tap + New Dashboard
.
If you’ve already created a dashboard, tap in the upper-right corner instead.
2. Adding widgets
Adding widgets to dashboards is just like the steps you follow on phones, which are outlined below. The main difference when using tablets is the ability to view multiple columns simultaneously, which enhances the overall experience.
Phones
1. Navigate to Dashboards
Open the Homey app and go to More (…)
→ Dashboards
.
Tap + New Dashboard
to create a new dashboard.
If you’ve already created a dashboard, tap in the upper-right corner instead.
2. Adding widgets
Tap + Add Widget
to add your first widget.
You can select a widget by tapping one from the list. The Homey tab shows built-in widgets, while the Apps tab features widgets from community-made apps.
Next, you can adjust the widget to fit your liking. For example, you can hide or modify the widget title. If you are happy with the settings, tap + Add Widget
.
Now, you can tap to add another widget and expand your dashboard.
You can also swipe right to add a column, enhancing the functionality. On phones, your dashboards can accommodate up to fifteen columns.
Notably, on tablet devices, your dashboards will display multiple columns at once.
3. Organizing widgets
Once you’ve added widgets, you can move them by pressing and holding, then dragging them. Additionally, you can tap ⋯
in the widget’s upper-right corner to access more settings.
Once you are happy with your layout, tap Done
in the upper-right corner to save your dashboard. Enjoy using it, or try creating another one!
