You can set a PIN code for your security devices, including locks, alarms, and garage doors. This PIN code syncs with Google Assistant, ensuring only authorized users can control them by voice.
For instance, when you say, “Hey Google, unlock the front door,” Google will ask for your PIN code before taking action—adding an extra layer of security and keeping your home secure.
Availability
This feature is available for Homey Pro (Early 2023), Homey Pro mini, and Homey Cloud (Free and Premium), starting with Homey Pro v12.3.3 and the Homey app v9.1.0.
1. Navigate to Google Assistant
Open the Homey app and navigate to More (…) → Settings → Google
Assistant.
2. Enable PIN-Protected Devices
Tap the toggle next to PIN-Protected Devices.
3. Set a PIN
Tap Pin Code and set your preferred 4-digit code.
4. Select Protected Devices
Finally, tap Protected Devices and select the devices you’d like to protect.
