Flows are scenarios in Homey that do things automatically for you. For instance, you can let the lights turn off when you turn on the television. Flows in Homey work via a when-and-then principle, which is explained in the following video.
Starting a Flow
Step 1
Open the Homey app and tap Flow
in the tab bar to open the Flow editor.
Step 2
Define an event or action that will start your Flow, like a point in time or a button push.
Step 3
Tap Add card
to browse through the options for starting your Flow.
Step 4
When you have found the correct card, tap on it to set it up.
Step 5
Tap ✔
to save this card.
Using additional conditions
Maybe you want the Flow to execute only when certain environmental conditions are true. For example, at a specific time or only when you are at home.
Step 6
Swipe up so the "And" group opens up.
Step 7
Tap Add card
to add a condition to the "And" group.
Step 8
When you find the right card, you can click on it to set it up.
Step 9
Tap on ✔
to save this card.
Setting up actions
To complete your Flow, you need to add an action. For instance, you can let Homey speak, change the light color, adjust the temperature, and more.

Swipe up to open the "Then" group.

Tap Add card
to add a condition to the "Then" group.
Step 12
Once you have found the right card, you can tap on it to set it up.

Tap ✔
to save this card.
Testing your Flow
The last step is to test your Flow to ensure it works as it should. Just tap Test
to give it a try. If you set everything up right, it should run without any errors.
