With Homey app widgets, you can trigger your favorite Flows directly from the home screen on your phone. It’s a convenient way to access your home within less than a second without any need to open the app.
Widgets explained
Widgets are like short or mini versions of your applications. Their main purpose is to display often-used actions and display on-the-go information.
iOS widgets
In the Today View
- Swipe right over the Home screen or Lock screen.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap
Edit - Scroll to the bottom again and tap
Customize→More Widgets→+button next to your Favorite Flows. - Tap and hold the widget to reorder the position of widgets.
- To finish, tap
Done.
Note: Adding widgets to to your homescreen (iOS 14+) is currently not supported.
Android widgets
- On the Home screen, long press on an empty space → tap
Widgets. - Press and hold the Favorite Flow widget. Move it where you want it.
- Choose the favorite Flow you want the widget to activate.
Note: If you are having issues with starting a Flow from an Android widget, make sure disable 'Battery Optimization' for Homey in Android settings.
