With Homey, everyone in your home gets their own account. No shared passwords, and you stay in control of who has access.
The advantages of using accounts
Homey lets you use a single account per user. This offers many advantages:
- You can manage multiple Homeys with a single login.
- Owners can easily add and revoke access, including temporary access.
- Sharing your Wi-Fi password does not let people access your Homey.
- You can log in from anywhere around the world, the same way you do at home.
Worth knowing
Only the Homey Owner can manage other user accounts.
Adding a new user to Homey
- Open the Homey Mobile App and navigate to More (…) → Family & Guests.
- Tap the + symbol in the top right corner, then tap Select Role → Share Invitation.
- You can share this link via your phone’s apps, like WhatsApp, Mail, or direct message.

Managing and revoking access

Tip
You can temporarily disable guest users in a Flow.
Roles and permissions
There are four roles a user can have: Owner, Manager, Resident, or Guest. Only one user can be the Homey Owner at any given time.
