Homey can connect to a KNX installation using a KNX/IP Interface or KNX/IP Router.
Requirements
- Homey
- KNX/IP Interface (or KNX/IP Router). We recommend the KNX for Homey Kit, which comes with Weinzierl 731 KNX/IP Interface.
- The free KNX Homey App.
Installation of the KNX/IP Interface
Step 1
Place the KNX/IP Interface in an available slot on your KNX rail.
Step 2
Connect the KNX/IP Interface to your LAN network using the provided Ethernet cable.
Step 3
Connect the KNX/IP Interface to your KNX network using the provided KNX bus cable. Make sure the wire colors match.
Configuration of the KNX/IP Interface
1. KNX Address
Make sure that the KNX Address 15.15.255
is available. This is usually the case. If not, please ask your installer for help.
2. KNX/IP Interface
Ensure the KNX/IP Interface is connected to your LAN and has an IP address. If not, make sure DHCP is enabled on your internet router or assign an IP manually.
