After you install the Homey app on your iOS device, the Shortcuts app should automatically discover all your favorite Homey Flows and make them available for automation.
Siri voice commands
Setting up a Siri shortcut allows you to initiate a Flow with a voice command. Once you've completed the steps below, you can start a Flow by saying, "Hey Siri, [shortcut name]."
Step 1
To set up a new Shortcut, open the Shortcuts app.
Step 2
Go to Shortcuts
in the tab bar and tap +
in the upper-right corner.
Step 3
Search for Homey
, then tap Start a Homey Flow
and select your preferred Flow.
Step 4
Name your Shortcut and save it.
Automation
Shortcuts also offer Apple's way of automation. For you, they bring new ways to start your Flows when things happen on your iPhone and iPad.
For example, open your Zigbee curtains when your phone's morning alarm goes off. Or when your iPhone taps an NFC tag at the door, Homey can open your Z-Wave smart lock.
Step 1
To set up a new Automation, open the Shortcuts app and go to Automation
.
Step 2
Tap +
in the upper-right corner and select your preferred trigger in the When section.
Step 3
In the Do section, tap Start Homey Flow
and select your preferred Flow.
