You can connect Homey Pro (Early 2023) to a PC or Mac to create a local backup, restore it, update the software, and perform a factory reset. Here, we walk you through how it works.
1. Unplug Homey Pro
First, disconnect Homey Pro (Early 2023) from the power adapter and move it to the location of your PC or Mac.
2. Visit the Homey USB Tool
Visit the Homey USB Tool in Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or another Chromium-based browser. You can also access it by visiting My Devices on the Homey website.
3. Place and hold a long pin
Next, place and hold a long pin inside the bottom of Homey Pro's pinhole before connecting the USB-C cable. Homey Pro must be powered off while pressing the pinhole.
