Homey Pro Backups automatically creates a backup of Homey every night to our cloud servers. You can restore them anytime, which is especially useful when setting up a new Homey, when Homey returns from repair, or when migrating from Homey to a Homey Pro.
This functionality requires a subscription
Alternatively, you can manually create a local backup using the Homey Pro USB Tool.
About backups
Homey’s last 7 backups are stored in the cloud. Backups are bound to Homey’s owner’s account. A maximum of 3 Homeys can be backed up at the same time.
In short, one account can store up to 21 backups. You can manage and delete your backups at My Backups on the Homey website.

Managing your subscription
Visit My Subscriptions on the Homey website to view your subscription status. You don’t need to cancel when you’ve purchased a one-year subscription in the Homey Store.
If you use iOS, you can manage your subscription through the Apple App Store. For Android users, subscription management is available on the Google Play Store.
Backup contents
All your devices, Flows, Insights, variables, alarms, settings, Z-Wave, and Zigbee networks are being backed up. Only apps installed from the developer tools will not be backed up.
Backup actions
Create a backup manually
You can create a backup manually by going to More (…) → Backups in the Homey app.
Restore a backup
First, make sure Homey Pro is reset to factory settings. After connecting to Wi-Fi, you can restore a backup if backups are available.
Migrating between Homeys
You can use backups to migrate between two Homeys. Learn how.
Transferring ownership
When you transfer ownership of Homey to another user, your backups until that point are still available to you. If the new owner is also a Homey Pro Backups subscriber, Homey will continue to back up automatically. However, the new owner can only access the backups created after the transfer date.
