You can connect your Solyx Nymo unit to Homey and start automating it with Flows. In this article, we’ll walk you through the pairing process step by step.
1. Open the Homey app
Open the Homey app and tap Devices in the bottom tab bar.
2. Add a new device
Tap → New Device in the upper-right corner.
3. Search for Solyx
Search for Solyx and tap its logo.
4. Choose your device
Tap Nymo.
5. Connect your Nymo
Tap Connect and follow the instructions.
Make sure there’s no Nymo sensor box linked or active and tap Continue.
Enter your installation details. You can find the maximum power on your boiler’s label or specification plate. When everything is filled in, tap Add Nymo to Homey.
Tap Continue Setup, then complete the process by adding the device to your desired Zone.
6. Create a new Flow
To make sure your setup automatically uses surplus solar power — for example, to heat your electric boiler — you’ll need to create a Flow in Homey.
In this example, we’ll use the Homey Energy Dongle as the source of your real-time energy data, and Solyx Energy WaterAccu as the device that stores or uses your surplus energy.
- Open the Homey app and tap Flow → New Flow.
- In the When… section, choose:
- Homey Energy Dongle
- Select the card ‘The Power changed’
- In the Then… section, choose:
- Solyx Energy WaterAccu
- Select your Nymo device
- Choose the card ‘Set surplus power to’
- In the Surplus power field, tap the tag icon on the right and select #Power.
- Make sure the power is Invert power is set to Yes. This ensures that negative power (exported to the grid) is treated as surplus power by the Nymo.
- Tap Next to name your Flow, then tap Save Flow to save it.
7. Verify your setup
To make sure everything works correctly, you can just open your Nymo device in the Homey app. Go to the fourth tab and check the displayed value:
- When your home is producing surplus solar power, the value should be positive.
- When you’re importing power from the grid (no surplus), the value should be negative.
Troubleshooting
Nymo disconnects from Homey
If your Nymo frequently loses its connection to Homey, adjusting the signal frequency usually fixes this. It affects both Homey Pro and Homey Bridge.
Make sure you have the latest version of the Solyx Energy app installed. Then open the Nymo settings, go to Advanced Settings → Signal Offset, and set it to +10 kHz.
To confirm it’s working, check the top green LED on the Nymo. It should blink every 5 seconds when messages are being received correctly.
