Homey is available as an app in ChatGPT. You can connect your account in one click or set it up manually using the Homey MCP Server.
Use the Homey app in ChatGPT
- Open the Homey app in ChatGPT.
- Click Connect. In the pop-up, click Sign in with Homey.
- Sign in with your Homey account and approve access.
Use the Homey MCP Server
Manual MCP setup depends on ChatGPT’s developer mode being available and may require an eligible ChatGPT plan.
- Go to https://chatgpt.com/#settings/Connectors.
- Click Advanced settings, enable Developer mode, then click Back.
- In the top-right corner, click Create app.
- Under Name, enter Homey.
- Under MCP Server URL, enter
https://mcp.athom.com.
- Check I understand and want to continue, then click Create.
- Sign in with your Homey account and approve access.
What you can do
Once connected, you can ask ChatGPT to:
- Check device status and control devices
- Start, create, and update Flows and Advanced Flows
- Rename devices or move them to another zone
- Set Moods
Disconnect Homey from ChatGPT
You can disconnect Homey at any time. After disconnecting, ChatGPT can no longer access or control your Homey account.
In ChatGPT, go to Settings → Apps. Find Homey, then click Disconnect.
