Homey installs updates automatically by default, so you always run the latest version without having to check manually.
We recommend leaving automatic updates on. Updates include security fixes and stability improvements.
To check or change this setting:
- Open the Homey Mobile App.
- Tap More (…) → Settings → Updates.
- Turn the Automatic Updates toggle on or off.
Below the toggle, tap Check for Updates to see if an update is available, whether automatic updates are on or off.
Do not interrupt Homey during an update
If Homey restarts or shows the purple loading animation, wait until it finishes.
