Homey installs updates automatically by default, so you always run the latest, most secure version without having to check manually.
We recommend leaving automatic updates on. Updates include security fixes and stability improvements. If you turn this off, you need to check for updates yourself.
- Open the Homey Mobile App.
- Tap More (…) → Settings → Updates.
- Turn the Automatic Updates toggle on or off.
Below the toggle, tap Check for Updates to check for a new firmware update at any time, even when automatic updates are off.
Do not interrupt Homey during an update
If Homey restarts or shows the purple loading animation, wait until it finishes.
