Homey supports Infrared devices manufactured by a wide range of brands.
Adding Infrared devices to Homey
Homey can talk to regular wireless devices like set-top boxes, ‘dumb’ TVs, socket switches, and air conditioning. This can be achieved with an infrared connection.
- Go to
Devices→Add (+)→Homey→IR. - Search for the manufacturer of your device.
Infrared range
Infrared devices need to be in the same room as Homey, preferably with a clear line of sight. You do not have to 'aim' Homey though, as it emits IR signals in 360 degrees.
