In case anything goes wrong, or you're migrating to a different Homey Pro, Homey Cloud Backups can save you from a major headache. With Homey Pro Backups, your Homey automatically creates a new backup every night, and you can also backup manually.
If you'd like to restore your device to a previous state, it's easy to keep your previous device settings, Flows, Energy & Insights data with a selected backup.
Restoring a backup
Initiate the reset to factory settings on the new Homey Pro first. After the reset to factory settings is done, start the setup procedure for Homey Pro. During setup you will be prompted if you want to restore a backup, select the backup you want to restore and confirm this choice.
After migrating, you must log in again to all 3rd party services where you've logged in with your Homey account, e.g. Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and IFTTT. This ensures the services keep working correctly.
Zigbee devices not responding after restoring a backup
Some Zigbee devices might need to be send a repair command to start working on your restored Homey Pro. To do so you can go to the device settings on the Homey Mobile App and click "Try to repair" under Maintenance. In the Homey Web App you can right-click the device tile and click repair.
