If you contact our support team about an issue with your Homey Energy Dongle, we may ask you to create a diagnostics report. This generates a unique code, such as 1234ABCD, that helps us troubleshoot the issue more quickly.
Here’s how to create a diagnostics report from the Homey app.
1. Open the Homey app
Tap Devices in the tab bar.
2. Open the device settings
Press and hold your Homey Energy Dongle in the Devices tab, then tap the settings icon in the upper-right corner.
3. Create a diagnostics report
Tap Create Diagnostics Report.
Having trouble creating a diagnostics report?
Your smart meter’s P1 port may not provide enough power for reliable operation. Make sure your Homey Energy Dongle is also connected to a power source using its USB-C port.
