Set up your Homey Pro mini

Set up Homey Pro mini with a new or existing Homey account. You connect Homey Pro mini to your router and plug it in, then finish setup in the Homey app on your phone.

Before you start
Turn on Bluetooth on your phone and allow the Homey app to use it. On iOS, this permission is called Bluetooth. On Android, it’s called Nearby devices.

Connect Homey Pro mini

1. Connect the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port of Homey Pro mini and to your router.
2. Connect the USB-C cable to the power adapter and to Homey Pro mini.

3. Plug the power adapter into a power outlet.

   

4. Wait until the LED on the front changes from blinking white to breathing blue, which means Homey Pro mini is ready for setup. This takes a minute or two.

   

If you’re new to Homey

1. On your phone, download the Homey app from get.homey.app.
2. Open the Homey app and tap Create Account.
3. Follow the steps in the app to create your account.
4. Tap Set Up Homey → Homey Pro mini. 
5. Follow the steps in the app to finish setup.

If you already have a Homey account

1. In the Homey app, go to the Home tab.
2. Tap your avatar.

3. Tap My Homeys → Add New Homey → Homey Pro mini.

   

4. Follow the steps in the app to finish setup.
