Homey works best when it stays on. This keeps it connected to all your devices without interruption. If you do need to turn it off, for example, to move it to a different location, follow the steps below.
Don’t unplug Homey while the LED Ring shows a rotating purple animation
This means an update is in progress. Unplugging during an update can corrupt the firmware and leave Homey unresponsive.
To turn off Homey Pro
- Unplug Homey from the wall socket.
- Plug it back in to turn it on again. Starting up takes one to two minutes.
LED Ring too bright?
If the LED Ring is too bright or distracting, consider changing the screensaver to Off instead of unplugging Homey.
