It is possible to control a Zigbee device, such as a light bulb or socket, directly with a Zigbee remote control. This works only while having both devices connected to Homey. This would for example enable you to dim an INNR light bulb with an Ikea Trådfri remote control without having to create Flows for those actions.
Please refer to the manual of your Zigbee remote control to find how to connect the remote control to the other Zigbee device. Often, it requires you to:
- Hold the remote control very close to the receiving device (less than 10cm) while pressing the pair button for a certain amount of time.
- Afterwards, it should be possible to control the receiving device as well as using the remote control in Flows.
Note: Not all devices support this direct connection and the devices must be connected to Homey before trying to connect them to each other.
