If your camera brand isn’t available in the Homey App Store, you can still add it to Homey as a Virtual IP Camera by enabling the Virtual Devices Experiment.
This option offers more limited functionality than a native Homey app, but allows you to connect most IP cameras on your local network using their IP address or stream URL.
Make sure you’re running Homey Pro v12.10.0 or later, and the Homey Mobile App v9.6.1 or later.
1. Enable the Experiment
Go to More (…) → Settings → Experiments and enable Virtual Devices.
2. Add your IP camera
Go to Devices, then tap → New Device.
Under Technologies, tap Virtual Devices → Virtual IP Camera → Connect.
Enter the URL of an HTTP(s), RTSP, or RTMP IP Camera, then tap Continue.
Finally, complete the setup by naming your device and adding it to the right Zone.
3. Watch your live camera stream
Long-press the device tile to watch your live camera stream.
Once everything is set up, you can always change the URL later if needed. Just tap the settings icon in the top-right corner and go to Advanced → URL.
