Set up Homey Pro with a new or existing Homey account. You plug in Homey Pro, then finish setup in the Homey app on your phone.
Before you start, turn on Bluetooth on your phone and allow the Homey app to find Homey Pro. On iOS, this permission is called Bluetooth. On Android, it’s called Nearby devices.
1. Power up
Connect the USB-C cable to the power adapter and to Homey Pro. Then plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet.
Homey Pro connects to your home network over Wi-Fi. For a wired connection, connect Homey Pro with the Homey Pro Ethernet Adapter instead.
2. Wait for the blue LED Ring
When Homey Pro starts up, its LED Ring circles white. After a minute or two, it starts to breathe blue. Homey Pro is now ready to be set up.
If the LED Ring doesn’t breathe blue after two minutes, reset Homey Pro and try again.
3. Finish setup in the Homey app
If you’re new to Homey
- Download the Homey app for iOS or Android at get.homey.app.
- Open the app, tap Create Account, and follow the instructions to create your Homey account.
- Tap Set Up Homey → Homey Pro and follow the instructions in the app.
If you already use Homey
In the Homey app, go to the Home tab and tap your avatar. Then tap My Homeys → Add New Homey → Homey Pro and follow the instructions in the app.
