Dynamic electricity price regions in Homey Energy

Homey Energy’s Dynamic Electricity Prices feature lets you track real market rates in your region, so you can see exactly when energy is cheaper or more expensive throughout the day.

Every supported country has one or more dynamic electricity price regions. By default, Homey automatically detects your region based on your location.

Can I change my region manually?

You can view the currently used region under Energy → Customize → Electricity Costs → Dynamic → Region. Most of the time, it’s best to keep it on Auto-detected.

However, if you need to use a different region, you can select another option here. For example, this may apply if your household is billed under a neighboring region.

What happens if my selected region changes?

If you manually select a different region, Homey will remember your choice. However, if that region is later updated, Homey may revert to the Auto-detected option. 

If this happens, you’ll see a timeline notification that says:

“The selected region for dynamic prices has been reset to the auto-detected region due to changes to the selected region.”

If needed, you can simply go to the Region settings and reselect your preferred region.
